Active ageing project in Prague

This month the practice of the month comes from the Czech Republic. Demographic ageing is a challenge, which many European cities face. The Active Age Urbact project brought together 9 cities from Italy, Czech Republic, UK, Greece, Poland, Slovenia, Spain and Bulgaria to share experience on this problem. The project focused on improving urban policies in relation to demographic ageing of Europe's population and making these policies more sustainable. The project had 2 main aims. The first one was to facilitate transnational exchange of know-how between cities from 8 EU member states. The second one was the preparation of a Local Action Plan for Prague with the help of local stakeholders, who met at Local Action Group.
